Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Final Sale Philosophy

Odacieuse operates as a curated consignment boutique (dépôt-vente). Every item is a unique, pre-owned piece sold on behalf of private curators. Consequently, all sales are fundamentally final. We do not offer exchanges or returns for "change of mind," style preference, or sizing issues.

2. Mandatory Sizing & Condition Verification

By purchasing, the buyer acknowledges:

  • Second-hand Nature: Items are pre-owned and sold in "Excellent Condition." Minor signs of previous life are inherent to vintage and second-hand luxury.

  • Measurements: Sizing varies significantly between brands and eras. We provide exact measurements ($cm$) for every garment. It is the buyer’s responsibility to verify these measurements before purchase. Returns based on "fit" or "size" will be treated under the strict conditions of the statutory withdrawal right (see Section 3).

3. Statutory Right of Withdrawal (EU Only)

In accordance with Portuguese Decree-Law no. 24/2014, customers within the European Union have a legal right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 calendar days of delivery. To exercise this right, the following restrictive conditions apply:

  • Notification: You must notify us explicitly at marie@odacieuse.pt within the 14-day window.

  • Item Integrity: The item must be returned in the exact same "Excellent Condition" as delivered. It must be unworn, unwashed, and odorless (no perfume, tobacco, or detergent scents).

  • Original Tags: All Odacieuse tags and labels must remain attached. If an item is returned without its original boutique tags, it will be considered "used" and the refund will be refused or significantly reduced due to depreciation.

4. Return Shipping & Costs (Buyer’s Responsibility)

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Full Costs: All return shipping fees, including packaging and insurance, are the exclusive responsibility of the buyer.

  • Non-Refundable Fees: Initial shipping costs paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable.

  • Risk of Loss: Odacieuse Lda is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit. We strictly require the use of a tracked and insured shipping service.

5. Inspection & Refund Process

Upon receipt, every return undergoes a rigorous inspection.

  • If the item is found to be altered, worn, or damaged, no refund will be issued, and the item will be sent back to the customer at their expense.

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt via the original payment method.
